Partnering with different medical disciplines throughout my career has shown me first-hand how lasting, successful outcomes can stem from a combination of methods. My goal is always the same: to explore all viable options with an open mind, to:

  1. Provide you with the strongest likelihood of achieving long-lasting pain relief
  2. Provide you with the best possibility of functional restoration

Our team diagnoses and treats chronic pain conditions of the spine; peripheral joint, muscle and nerve conditions; as well as provides anti-aging solutions (functional and regenerative medicine.) From initial consultation to final follow-up care, you will experience a unique patient-centric philosophy.

I do not hand out generic therapy instructions or treatment plans, then leave it to others to manage.

I prescribe very specific therapy and care orders that outline every detail. I stay in constant contact with each professional on your care team to make sure every step is followed and to track your progress continuously. You are never alone.

Our team partners closely with:

  • Your Primary Care Physician
  • Physical Therapists
  • Acupuncturists
  • Massage Therapists
  • Neurologists
  • Orthopedic surgeons and physicians
  • Neurosurgeons
  • And any other practitioners you wish to keep engaged in your case

Dr. Friedman brings more than 10 years of pain management program development, teaching, research and patient treatment experience, along with a dedicated passion to the principles of more comprehensive, patient-centric care, to diagnose and treat: chronic pain conditions, peripheral joint, muscle and nerve conditions, and anti-aging (functional/regenerative medicine).

Dr. Friedman developed, launched and directed successful pain management programs for the world-renowned Johns Hopkins University Hospital System. This included the pain management program for the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Pain Management for the Spine Program at Johns Hopkins Bayview.

When your daily comfort, functionality and quality of life are at stake, you shouldn't have to settle for a hasty diagnosis, a by-the-numbers treatment program or anything less than the full range of options. Those family lessons still guide my patient care philosophy today.

My years of medical training, teaching at hospitals like Johns Hopkins and extensive patient experience taught me how to control pain and restore function successfully. But it was my father and grandfather, both highly-respected physicians, and my mother – one of the wisest, most empathetic and intuitive individuals I have ever been blessed to know – who taught me the most valuable lessons about building rewarding patient relationships.
